Vertical Conveyors
Vertical Conveyors
Reliable vertical movement for materials of all shapes and sizes.
Whether you need to move pallets between floors or quickly transfer cartons in a high-speed system, vertical conveyors are a smart, space-saving way to transport materials between elevations. At IMH Systems, we offer two main types of vertical conveying solutions—Vertical Reciprocating Conveyors (VRCs) and Vertical Continuous Lifts (VCLs)—each suited to different applications and performance needs.
Which Vertical Conveyor Do You Need?
Choosing the right vertical conveyor depends on your product type, speed requirements, footprint, and flow process. Here’s a quick breakdown to help guide your decision:
Vertical Reciprocating Conveyor (VRC)
Best for heavy-duty loads, low to moderate throughput.
- Moves one load at a time (like an industrial material lift)
- Ideal for pallets, drums, containers, and heavy or bulky items
- Custom sizes and lifting capacities available
- Can serve multiple levels
- Mechanical or hydraulic drive systems
- Often manually loaded/unloaded, but automation-friendly
- Perfect for warehouses, manufacturing floors, and mezzanine access
If you’re lifting large or heavy materials and don’t need continuous flow, a VRC is likely your best fit.
Vertical Continuous Lift (VCL)
Best for fast-paced systems, light to moderate loads.
- Constant, non-stop vertical movement
- Ideal for totes, cartons, boxes, and uniform packages
- High-speed operation with fixed infeed and outfeed points
- Designed for seamless integration with automated conveyor lines
- Compact and energy-efficient
- Ideal for distribution centers, packaging lines, and e-commerce operations
If your operation is all about speed and throughput, a VCL will keep your product moving efficiently.
