Design

System layout and coordination of the overhead route, supporting structure, and carrier interfaces.

Fabrication

Custom carrier assemblies and support steel, built and finished for the project.

Installation

Field assembly and integration of the conveyor and finishing area.

Position the part. Select the lane.

The hand-push conveyor gives operators control of each carrier as it approaches the two-lane paint booth.

Rotating loadbars.

Custom loadbars let operators turn the parts for access to different surfaces during painting.

Protection in both directions.

The shields help keep track debris off finished parts and limit overspray buildup on the track and trolleys.

Two lanes. Local selection.

Pneumatically actuated track switches route carriers to either paint-booth lane. Operators select the lane with a locally mounted joystick.

The system, together.

The completed overhead route brings custom carriers, blue support steel, and finishing enclosures into one connected layout.

Built in the shop.

Carrier frames, connection details, and support beams take shape before the field installation. The shop photographs follow the work from bare steel to painted assemblies.

Brought together on site.

Enclosure assembly, staged steel, erected frames, overhead connections, and exhaust work document the installation inside and above the plant.

Follow the carrier.

Two short recordings from the completed installation show the carrier and overhead route at the booth interface. Select play to watch; these clips are presented without audio.

Decide how the operator presents and routes the part.

The Martinrea system combines rotating loadbars, protective shields, and pneumatic switches for booth-lane selection using joystick controls. The carrier and switching arrangement need to be considered with the operator’s working position.
